All those Beautiful Disaster fans will love this book. Jul 06, Anna rated it really liked it. I compel my eyes to look at him and it Ehm His father’s been beating him up since he was seven up until now that he’s in college and eighteen. Over all the writing style just wasn’t that great either. After the opening chapters, the book wallowed in angst and tried to explain the redemptive qualities of drunkeness, vandalism of property, senseless partying, and sex. Sorensen gave this beloved couple a spectacularly poignant resolution and they are by far my favorite couple in this series.

Maybe your father’s severe beatings had rattled your brain that you don’t know how to contain your raging hormones even when you claim that you’re broken and all secretive and crap. Coinciedncia, at the end of the book, I find myself not caring for them at all, hence me wondering about my ability to sympathize with them.
The epilogue was one of my favorite parts of the book and it was a great way to end it. The setting, the supporting characters, the dialogue – everything seemed so far-fetched and staged, even the character dynamic was so forced. Beautiful disaster is also highly starred of course but everyone loves that one.
Furthermore, I couldn’t bring myself to care about the main characters at all, which may have been due to the fact that they were too one-dimensional, despite the author’s best efforts to establish the opposite.

I was about halfway through the book and I was convinced that this was written by a 15 year old. So I know what it means to fight and find the strenght to finally move on with your life and not hide yourself behind baggy clothes and ugly haircuts.
It does not in any way touch upon things that haven’t been dealt with before. I don’t recommend this for anyone and don’t care enough to read the next book to find out what has happened to the MC’s.

The beginning of this book gave me an inoffensive – if somewhat formulaic – introduction to the story and characte I am conducting what I’m shelving as a “New Adult NA Experiment”.
Because without his pasts, there is not really anything to his persona. Like it would be mentioned over an over again that Callie had not been herself since sixth grade, she had not let anybody in since sixth grade, she had not looked herself since sixth grade, she had been quiet, looked sad, ect.
Moving beyond my own frustrations, this book is lacking on a number of different levels. These women have more dimensions that are unexplored and slinging names around is an easy out. How does one kneel up? It won’t be the last I read from her bibliography because I own two of her other novels and I don’t really have a handle on her style yet.
Paperbackpages. The first book was one of the reasons I fell in love with NA and this was the amazing and highly anticipated end they deserved. I was at least halfway through mentally composing a ragey diatribe of a review I do not think this word means what you think it means! Still, I kept reading on, hoping thinking they would show more depth in the course of time. I don’t understand there are so many raving reviews for The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden.
This book takes 2 extremely damaged people who try to find themselves, work through their problems, fall in love, and their lives all at the same time and it’s nothing but wrong.
On the bright side: Write a customer review. Physics and biology still apply in fictional worlds!
